Each of us is called to worship God with our entire life, including our time, talents, and resources. Sharing those resources is an important way to worship the Giver of all good things. We pledge to be good stewards of your gifts, taking great care in how we manage and track the resources entrusted to us.
You may make your gifts in a variety of forms. You will receive a receipt of your tax-deductible gifts in accordance with IRS requirements. Please let us know if you have any specific needs regarding the timing of these notifications; otherwise, you will receive the minimum summary of your gifts necessary to meet government standards.
You can give cash during Sunday-morning worship service or drop it off at the church offices during normal business hours. To receive IRS credit it must be placed in an envelope with the designated information filled out.
Checks or Money Orders
Checks or money orders can be given in three ways:
Website processing of financial gifts provides a fast, convenient, and secure way for you to give one-time gifts or recurring donations by credit card (Visa/Mastercard) or by electronic check. To make an electronic check payment, you will need to provide the bank routing number and account number that appear at the bottom of a check. Gifts can be designated for First Baptist General Fund, Building Fund, or Designated Funds.
Gifts of Stock
Stock may be donated to First Baptist Church by transferring investments to our account at United Community Bank. Please email our bookkeepers at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the church office at 828-295-7715 if you are interested in transferring stock .
